* MCats Gig 14: MCT Auction

2008-03-01-mcats-poster-1960s

The MCats put on their best 1960s garb, Jon put on his best guitar face, and Susan Miller took the mic for 1960s night at the MCT Auction. We only broke one fluorescent light. And we raised $2600 for the McCarthy-Towne school. The fact that we had people dancing – at the auction – was a bonus!

Here’s what we played:

Good Lovin’ (C) – Grateful Dead
Down On the Corner (C) – Creedence Clearwater Revival
Surfin’ U.S.A. (recorded in D#, play in A) – The Beach Boys
Back In the U.S.S.R. (A) – Paul McCartney
Honky Tonk Women (G) – The Rolling Stones
Sunshine of Your Love (D) – Cream
Summertime Blues (Remixed Live) (D) – The Who
I’m a Believer (G) – The Monkees
Gimme Some Lovin’ (recorded in G, play in A) – The Spencer Davis Group
Somebody to Love (F#m) – Jefferson Airplane
Piece of My Heart (E) – Janis Joplin
Born To Be Wild (E) – Steppenwolf
White Room (D) – Cream
